For this reason, is pleased to announce the 2017 Health Insurance Awareness Scholarship, an award that recognizes the in-depth knowledge of students regarding Patient Healthcare and various Insurance options available for betterment of Patients health and improves the quality of health insurance coverage for all Americans.

By disseminating the contributions of scholarship entrant’s winners, also seeks to increase public awareness of the importance of expanding access to affordable, quality health insurance coverage.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be reviewed by our scholarship staff. Candidates are judged on academic history, extracurricular activities, employment history & essay. Here is a quick breakdown of all criteria involved in picking winning candidates:

  • Completed Registration
  • Completed Essay
  • Work History and Activities
  • GPA (min 3.2 on a 4.0 scale)

How You Can Participate

Choose any topic that is related to Easy Health Tips, Health Ideas, The Future of Health and write about it.

The essay must be at least 750-1,000 words, well-written.

Application must be submitted before deadlines.

Email your essay to as well as the application form to the University in which you are applying or attending.

Only one essay can be submitted.

When is the deadline to apply?

Entries must be submitted by January 31, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. The winning applicant will be selected in 2nd week of February 2018. The scholarship will be applied to 2018 tuition.

Do I have to currently be enrolled in school to qualify?

Yes. The scholarship award will be sent directly to the financial aid office of the winning candidate’s institution.

Award Amount

Two gifts totaling $2,000 will be awarded. A Gold Scholarship will be awarded to the winning student in the amount of $1,000, and a Silver Scholarship will be awarded to two students the amount of $500/per.

Selection process and notification

A panel of judges will determine the winner. Leading figures in medicine, public health, and health policy journalism will be chosen for the panel in consultation with Winners will be notified by e-mail.


Q: When is this scholarship offered?
A: It is offered two time a year with due dates of May 1, and November 1.

Q: What do we mean by “qualified”? 
A: We require our applicants to be currently enrolled in an accredited online or campus based  4 year health care program.

Q: Can international students apply?
A: International students are welcome to apply if they are currently be enrolled in a qualified program.

Q: Is this program available to Military personnel?
A: All military are welcome.

Q: Do you need a letter of recommendation for this scholarship?
A: Letters of recommendation are neither required nor accepted for this scholarship.

Q: Is there a cost involved in submitting an application?
A: There is no cost involved.
